Loosing Ashwell, Finding Tweed

Sometime back I wrote about the home we had hoped to become ours.  Ashwell cottage had caught our eye, and we made our offer.  After weeks and weeks of waiting we knew that we needed to pull out of our offer.  I was a bit disheartened.  I had already began my plans of how to do all the things necessary to make it our home.  However, there were better plans to be made.  Just a couple of blocks away in the very same neighborhood, Tweed cottage became available.  It had much nicer upgrades.  The outdoor space was perfect, and....the price was lower!  It was a no-brainer.  We sealed the deal on December 17.  We have not moved in yet, as we are painting and putting in new floors.  We will soon.  I am actually quite happy that we had to say farewell to Ashwell.  Tweed seems to be a perfect fit.

We are in the city limits, but we have almost an acre.  We also have a lovely stream running through the back yard.  It is time to say farewell to apartment life.  We are all beyond thrilled with that.  We still have our house in our hometown. The renters there seem happy to stay awhile.  I am happy to finally feel like we have a home again.

To many sweet memories to come....

B Charmer
