Thank You and Good Things

I wish I could have photographed last evening.  It was surely sweet.  I pulled into the driveway last night, and five little boys on bikes were anxiously awaiting the arrival of my Jackson.  Before I could hardly get the car in park, he was out of the car running for his bike.  It made my heart happy.

When we were in the trudges of trying to decide about what to do for a home this year, I was just completely overwhelmed.  We tried so many different ideas of  staying in our last place, buying a house, and even had put money down on another apartment.  However, I just felt in knots about it all.  I did not have a peace about any of them.  It came down to the wire of timing and decisions.  In a last ditch effort, I drove into a community that I thought was above our budget.  They had one unit  It was in our same school district.  It ticked all the boxes of what we needed.  And...the price was below our budget.  BELOW!

It was a no-brainer.  We signed the papers, paid our deposit, and got ready for a move.  When I went back to check on some things, I was able to see the  unit we were supposed to be getting.  I was a bit surprised because it was not at all what we had agreed upon.  I was heart-sick.  I was kind and asked for an explanation of the changes.  They called back and were quite apologetic.  There had been a paperwork mistake.  They asked me if I would be OK with an upgrade.  Of course, I would be OK with an upgrade!

I know that friends and family were praying that we would be able to find a good home.  I can assure you that we have.  I watched last night as my children happily played with so many others.  I talked with all the moms, and they are wanting to do a Bible study right there in our neighborhood.  I must say that I was blown away.  Inside, all I could think about was how sweet God is to me and my family.  He knew just what we needed and just when we needed it.  I am most thankful  to those who love us and took time to pray.  Our little place has turned out to be a very good thing.
